Flaxton Barbeque

There have been a number of summer events lately but one of our favourites is the summer barbeque at Flaxton. Sunday the 19th August, it was warm and overcast but it didn’t spoil the annual trip South, fifty four people turned up from Durham and South Yorkshire MG Clubs, meeting at the market place in Easingwold before moving on to have a truly sumptuous meal in Farmer Johns garden, After the meal we were treated to a tour of John’s barn where he has a number of very interesting classic cars in various stages of renovation, the V8 engined frogeye sprite caught my eye and sounded amazing when he fired it up. The day passed all to quickly and we said our farewells and headed home, must do it again next year.
