The Flaxton Barbecue
A week after the Northern National on the 13th August we had another lovely day meeting up with friends from S. Yorkshire MG Club in the market place at Easingwold for what has become our annual barbeque in Flaxton near York.
We had 44 people turn up for the truly gourmet banquet of a barbeque, with farm fresh salad and delicious burgers, chicken and tasty sausages. A delicious array of sweets were provided by the ladies seen here serving their wares, this was a splendid way to finish off a truly excellent lunch.
After we had eaten it was time for a wander round and admire some of the cars that John and his friends keep in Johns barn, there was a
splendid assortment including many MG’s and a V8 engined Frogeye Sprite All too soon it was time to head for home, many thanks to Keith and Carol Rowlands for organising it as well as farmer John and his team of helpers for hosting it and doing the cooking and finally the ladies of the club for the delicious cakes, we all agreed it was a great day, we must do it again next year.
