MG Northumbria's Corbridge Car Show

It was a dry and bright sunny morning as we travelled to the Corbridge classic car show. Unfortunately it clouded over and became cold and windy.

There was a good turnout from our club with about twenty five MG`s lining up. Tom Bolton also attended with his Triumph Bonneville motorcycle.

Some cars were tucked in behind the food stands at one end, leading down to the stage at the other end of our line

Those at the stage end were kept alert by the exuberant sound of the entertainers while some members seated next to the food stands were taken aback when the generators started up.

It didn`t spoil the day as there was plenty going on around the ground including the K9 Academy Dog Agility team and The 68th Regiment Of Foot Re-Enactment.

Those that missed the Regiment would no doubt have heard their rifles firing.

A lot of people made the effort to turn out with their pride and joy to make the show another success for the Northumbria club.

A recently restored MG Midget was voted best MG in show and best classic in show was a superb open top Ford Consul.

The rain stayed away and everybody seemed to have enjoyed the show.
