Picnic in the Park at the Durham University Bothaic Gardens

Picnic in the park at the Durham University Botanic Gardens Sunday July 9th saw our annual visit to the Botanic Gardens in Durham University. A total of 22 members attended with a variety of highly polished cars. The display was made up of a Midget two MG TC’s three MGB Roadsters and the remainder was made up of MGF’s and MG TF’s. The weather was changeable but dry and this encouraged a lot of interest being shown by the visiting public who were asked to vote on the car of their choice. After a very enjoyable picnic prizes were awarded on the public vote, the first prize went to Ian Tunnclife for his immaculate MG TC the runner up prize went to Dave Hook for his equally immaculate MG TC. The day passed very quickly and was enjoyed by all many thanks to everyone involved and to Ray Rickaby for organising it.
